that coat by 5B14 is sexy

I was disappointed with how few entries were in this catagory because I really like the boyish styles of lolita. (Although both catagories had far less entries than the past contests)

5B01 was the first to catch my eye, mainly because it matches her other entry in motif A, which is really cute. Though the style doesn't really match the catagory, since this was gothic kodona, and the outfit moreso reflects...punk or steampunk. Those trousers are also a bit too short for my tastes. I liked the long tails in the back of the vest and the pocket watch though. Would F+F make watches?, or is that just a coordination idea? Same with the shoes.

5B04 was a bit too 'colonial' in my opinion, but I really REALLY liked the music notes and rose patterns used. I'd leave the tie by itself without the bowtie because it looks a bit too big and awkward, and I'm not the biggest fan of the shirt. Love the tails on the jacket.

5B08 is a nice design and a great idea for a jacket (I'm very fond of the 'military' look). The only critique I'd give is that it's a shame more of the jacket isn't shown, like the back.

5B12 deffinately hit the 'gothic' aspect of this motif with the bat shapes and roses. I really liked the back of the jacket and how the pants are adjustable, catering to both those who want to look more boyish and who want to be more grownup looking. The hat and shirt are interesting designs. I wish other colour options were given, as the black+white+red scheme is nice, but is done quite a lot.

5B14 was very elegant. I liked the shape of the vest (they called it a jacket...?) and everyone likes pinstripes. I also liked the cross motif. The pants were kind of plain, but the subtle accents were nice. The coat was also nice but doesn't really look like it goes with the rest of the outfit.

5B12 is absolutely adorable! 5B11 is also very interesting and original, but I would have liked to have seen it on a male model as well. Lots of beautiful designs this round! I think I speak for everyone when I say it was really hard to chose. Good luck to everyone!

I had a bit of a hard time with this one because a lot of the designs although geared twords guys, don't look like anything any guy round here would wear. Most of the males i know that are into this clothing would not wear anything with short pants or something that looked like a butler for George Washington, although adorable for a girl to wear.

5B08 is pretty nice. i like it because its not just a normal double breasted jacket, its a little more then that with its small details. (but what is up with the crown?)

5B10, although a design for just a coat has a lot of possibility i think. i could see the colors not only in black and red, but in blue (a-la Mana) or even a nice hunter green. And again, its the small details that really bring this coat to my eye.

5B14 bothers me a bit because most of the outfit looks like you could just walk to your nearest discount store and buy the pants, vest and undershirt. But what makes it special is the coat, which i feel the fur is a little to flashy.

But that's just MY opinion.

as a guy, i'd be most likely to wear anything that encourages full length pants. (short pants or knickers are more suited for children or girls....or dead presidents, lol.) 5B08 is pretty cool, but i have to give it up for 5B10. THAT is what I'd love to wear.

Hmm... from a male standpoint, I see a lot of really good outfits that would probably look better on a female than on me. That being said, there are only a few left to choose from that really catch my eye.

5B12 is pretty neat, with the pants extensions and whatnot. It's also exceedingly dark, which is always a nice touch.

5B14 has its ups and downs...I can't decide whether I really really like it or not. One thing's for sure though-the back of that coat is awesome.

But I think my vote's gonna go to 5B10. That coat is so freaking sweet that words can't describe its awesomeness. It's got a just the right amount of detail without looking overdone and...well, it's just so darn cool.

EDIT: Well, I guess I'll vote for it again, because for some reason it decided not to go through the first time. I love feeling neglected.

Awe man... I won't make that mistake again...

I'm pretty torn between 5B14 or 5B12.
5B14 has this awesome simplistic thing going on, and I rather like that. However, that coat is far too over the top for my taste.
5B12 has this GREAT option for either pants or knickers (that's just an amazing idea.. Kinda' wish I had thought about it XD ) while still carrying itself elegantly simple like 5B14 without the coat does.

Ultimately, if I did have to choose something for my boyfriend to wear between these two, I'd have to go with 5B12 as I do believe that would be a design he'd be both more willing to wear and most comfortable in ^.^

I love the look of steampunk so much, I wish it was done in lolita more often. <3
I hope we get it as a motif in one of these contests someday.

Though the next one is future/industrial/etc; would steampunk count as industrial?
If it does I'm totally going for that, haha. c:
